I received my Masters degree from the University of California – Berkeley and hold a license in clinical social work in California (LCSW: 27356). I received my B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, studying both the cultural and biological variations in human behavior and development.  
I was in private practice in Boston, Massachusetts from 2007 - 2010 and opened my psychotherapy and counseling practice in San Francisco in 2011. In addition, I have several years of clinical experience in community agency and medical settings and also have experience as an elite athlete and coach, for those interested in peak mental performance in athletics.
I have been practicing mindfulness meditation for over 15 years and often integrate mindfulness concepts and techniques into my work as a psychotherapist and counselor. I am a member of the National Assocation of Social Workers (NASW) and founded healthypsych.com - an online community for progressive psychology. Prior to my clinical career, I worked in the information technology sector in the San Francisco Bay Area.
